OBITUARY - Elmer A. Bandt, 82 of Wautoma, died Friday, Jan 12, 1990, at the Wild Rose Manor.

He was born June 14, 1907, in the town of Richfield, Adams County, the son of Rudolph and Louisa Jahnke Bandt. He married Amanda Erdman on Aug. 16, 1930, at Milwaukee. He attended the former Pilot Knob School in Adams County. Later, he worked at the A.O. Smith Co. in Milwaukee for 19 years as a foreman and then as a security guard.

He and his wife moved to Wautoma in 1947, where he worked at the former Speed Queen Corp., as a foreman, until his retirement in 1971.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is also survived by one brother-in-law, Carl Graichen of Wisconsin Rapids, and two sisters-in-law, Ermine Bandt of Marshfield and Gertrude Bandt of Wautoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Mary King, Mable Bushweiler, Emma Slater and Alta Graichen, and three brothers, Henry Bandt, Ervin Bandt and Edwin Bandt.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1990, in Hope Lutheran Church of Wautoma with the Rev. Norman R. Jole officiating. Burial will be in the Wautoma Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:30 to 7 P.M. Monday at the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church. Pallbearers were: Daniel King, Harvey King, Robert Bandt, Richard Ammerman, Robert Ammerman, Larry Daberkow.
