Lillian M. Butcher, 97, of Shrewsbury, died at 7:35 a.m. Sunday at Barbara J. Egan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Shrewsbury. She was the wife of the late Clester D. Butcher.
The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 24 Second St., New Freedom. Burial will be in Giesey Memorial Cemetery in Shrewsbury. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Butcher was born March 31, 1902, in Railroad. She was the daughter of the late George and Seranda (Jones) Nace.
She was the oldest member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Railroad.
Mrs. Butcher is survived by a granddaughter, Vickie R. Flemmens of New Freedom; a grandson, Frank J. Zeller Jr. of New Freedom; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Mrs. Butcher was preceded in death by a daughter, Jerry M. Zeller.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Larry M. Neff; and the Rev. Bonnie H. Seitz, retired Lutheran pastor.
