Leo V. "Cleo" Anthony, 73, of Parkersburg, W.Va., left this earth on May 14, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus, following a short illness.

He was born Aug. 14, 1939, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Charles E. and Ona Belle Jordon Anthony.

Leo was formerly a lineman for CSX Railroad in the Ohio District. He was an active member of the DAV and Eagles. He enjoyed going on trips, family gatherings and watching Ohio State and Cincinnati Reds sports and NASCAR races.

He is survived by his longtime companion and fiancee, C. Jo McCrady; one grandson, Austin Hendershot; six stepchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Anthony; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Anthony; one stepson; one stepdaughter; five brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, with pastor Don Yeager officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, and one hour prior to service Friday at the funeral home.
