Ron was born September 22, 1946 in Richmond, Indiana. He was a veteran of the United States Army and faithfully served his country in Vietnam. Ron was employed in auto body repair for 42 years. He was of Baptist faith and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and sitting on the porch at his cabin. He was a member of the NRA.
He is survived by his father, John Carlos Amyx of Clarksville, TN; five children, Kimberly S. (Richard) Mayberry of Fountain City, IN, Wm. Bradley (Leslie) Amyx of Hiram, GA, Jonathan E. (Darcie) Amyx and Duane A. Amyx, all of St. Louisville, OH, and Danielle N. (Jared) White of Lynn, IN; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Sherri) Amyx of Richmond, IN and Tim (Kelly) Amyx of Nashville, TN; aunt, Angie Arvin of Richmond, IN, along with several other aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Pearl (Arvin) Williams; and by his step-mother, Shirley Amyx.
