She died November 8, 1936 - her obit was published 11/12/1936.

The death angel passed through our community early Sunday morning and took away "Aunt" Nan Sherrill. She had been sick for the past 3 weeks at the home of her son, Quillar Sherrill, where she was visiting. She was 83 years old. She leaves 10 children, all living; 86 grandchildren, about 80 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The body was laid to rest in the Hinch cemetery Monday evening by the side of her husband, Andy Sherrill, who died 33 years ago.
