Stephan James Drentkiewicz was born 15 JUN 1914 in Milwaukee, at some point, he became known as James S Drent (definitely by age 26)

He entered the military 14 APR 1942, serving out of NC, where he met and married his first wife, Anna Margaret Ray 31 May 1943 in Wayne, North Carolina. He was discharged by 19 OCT 1943, and at some point, they divorced.

He returned back to WI where he met and married his second wife, Mary Jaszczyk sometime in 1947, they divorced, and he remarried his first wife in Alabama, MAR 1956 - divorcing her by OCT 1956 - all records sourced via Alabama Marriage and Divorce Index 1950-1959.

He reunited with his second wife, Mary, and they had a son together, with James passing away in 1964. His brother, Robert, obtaining a grave marker for him several years later. Military records being what they are, once 'they' make a mistake, you will not correct it. Records him as being age 30 at entry, yet they recorded his birth year wrongly, as 1917 vs 1914.
