Mary Zoe Duckett

Mary Zoe Duckett of 204 Spring St., Clearfield, was called to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 22, 2003.

Born July 8, 1917, in Clearfield, she was a daughter of Alfred W. Aughenbaugh and Orissa (Peoples) Aughenbaugh.

She was a housewife and homemaker and a loving and devoted mother who was always helping others in need.

She was Protestant by faith. She was a volunteer at the Clearfield Hospital snack bar and volunteered to bake homemade pies for the snack bar.

She is survived by 10 children: Gerald P. Duckett and his wife, Shelby, of Mt. Lake Park, Md., Judith A. Graham and her husband, John, of Hilton, N.Y., George "Bud" Duckett Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Grampian, Ronald L. Duckett and his wife, Linda, of Moneta, Va., Michael J. Duckett and his wife, Susan, of Curwensville, and Debra S. Hepburn and her husband, Gary, Roger W. Duckett and his wife, Patricia, Scott A. Duckett and his wife, Kemberly, Linda Z. Milligan and her husband, Edgar, and Kimberly J. Clish and her husband, Stanley, all of Clearfield.

Also surviving are 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; a brother, Calvin Aughenbaugh of Clearfield; and two sisters, Betty Rougeux of Mesa, Ariz., and Wava Gardner of Clearfield.

On Jan. 5,1936, in a doublering ceremony in Clean, N.Y., she wed George D. Duckett Sr., with whom she raised 10 children. He preceded her in death in May 1996.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanne Duckett; two greatgranddaughters, Kara Rose Eisenhower and Karleigh Caldwell O'Dell; four brothers, Wayne, Orvis, Cecil and Raymond Aughenbaugh; and four sisters, Pearl Guelich, Helen Walters, Avonelle Rowles and Vera Eldridge.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with Dr. Duane White officiating.

Interment will be at Bradford Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 1 p.m. until the hour of services.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, Northwest PA Chapter, 110 W. 10th St., Suite 212, Erie, PA 16501, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
