Born April 18, 1929 in Weimar, Texas, Ray Anhaiser, Jr., passed away on May 6, 2013 at Vitas Hospice in Houston, TX. His parents were Ray Anhaiser and Annie Barton. Before retirement, Ray was vice president of Frost Bank in Sugar Land. He was an accomplished musician and played the clarinet and saxophone with various bands and orchestras for more than fifty years. Ray is survived by his children, Winona and husband Jeff Burgess of Colorado, Randall Anhaiser, Rene and husband Eddie Guidry of Sugar Land, Kelly Anhaiser and Natalie Anhaiser of Houston and five grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Bernice Chedester, brother Leon Anhaiser and wife Bettye, sister-in-law Velma Anhaiser, all of Sugar Land, and many nieces and nephews as well as aunts Sister Dorothy Anhaiser of Corpus Christi and Bertha Anhaiser of Houston. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leonard Anhaiser of Sugar Land and former wife Delia Watkins Anhaiser.
Viewing will be on Thursday, May 9th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. The burial service will be on Friday, May 10th, at 10:00 a.m., at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg followed by burial in the Greenlawn Memorial Park.
