James C. Burt, born about April 1845, has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives virtual vault under Dawson County. He was a Lt in Company E of Phillips Legion Vols, Drayton's Brigade. At the Battle of Sharps Bridge, Maryland on Sept 17, 1862 he was shot in the back near his spinal column and permanently disable. He received $25 PER YEAR pension for his service.
