Louisa Henretta Kessler was born August 15, 1856 in Illinois to Frederick Kessler and Margaret Schaunieffel Kessler. Her mother died when she was 1 1/2 years old. She married George Washington Ioerger on June 1, 1876 in Pekin, Illinois. He died on May 11, 1919. She died in 1945 at the age of 89 and both are buried at Mt Hope cemetery in Independence, Kansas
