John R. Ash, II, age 58 of Montville Twp., passed away July 15, 2009. He was born on August 8, 1950 in Fremont, OH to Kathryn (nee Kramer)Ash and the late John R. Ash, Sr.
He graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Fremont, where his mother still resides. Mr. Ash was employed for 30 years with Auto Owners Insurance, most recently as a claims manager for the Akron branch. He was a member of the Cleveland Claims Assoc., Akron Claims Assoc., and the Knights of Columbus, volunteered for numerous organizations and was an avid golfer.
John is survived by his loving companion Andrea L. Pohlod; daughters Natalie(Troy)Murphy of Long Grove, IA and Alicia Ash of Orlando, FL; son Nathan Ash of Columbus, OH; grandchildren Ashley and Ty Murphy; sisters, Christine(Jack)Kieffer of Bowling Green, Martha(John)Homan of Helena, OH and Carolyn Ash of Fremont; brothers, Scott(Denise) and Douglas(Krista) of Fremont and Philip(Hannelore) Ash of Oak Harbor; many nieces nephews, colleagues and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am, Monday at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 S. Weymouth Rd., Medina, 44256. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-8:00 pm at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina.
