Mary Ann Hunt Berry was born in Camargo, Oklahoma, on Aug. 24, 1933, to Anna Mildred Blair Hunt and Herman Edward Hunt. She was one of ten children. She departed this life on April 30, 2013. She attended Camargo Schools, and graduated with the class of 1951. She continued her education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. On June 12, 1955, she married Robert Maitland (Bob) Berry at the First Christian Church in Camargo, Oklahoma. She was a full-time stay-at-home mother for many years, and also worked in her chosen profession at Leedey Drug, Hillcrest Pharmacy in Woodward, and Craighead Pharmacy in Woodward. She worked as a relief pharmacist in several other pharmacies in Western Oklahoma. Mary Ann served on both the Camargo and Vici Boards of Education for many years. She was an avid reader and loved to play card games and dominoes with the family. Mary Ann also enjoyed camping and traveling. She is survived by husband, Bob, of the home in Elk City, as well as their six children: Robert Fredrick Berry and wife Debbie of Oklahoma City, Susan Easttom of Oklahoma City, Ralph Edward Berry of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Sheren Rader and husband, Mike, of Elk City, Richard Phillip Berry and wife Rhonda of Seiling, Oklahoma, and Ronald Steven Berry of Elk City. Mary Ann is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters: Gerry Williamson, Margie McDonald, Madelyn Ethridge and Kay Miskel; and 4 brothers: Gail Hunt, Bill Hunt, Jim Hunt and Jerry Hunt. She also had a special place in her heart for Claes Matzon of Odense, Denmark, who lived with the Berry family as an exchange student in 1973-74 and returned several times for visits over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Marvin Hunt. At the time of her passing she was a member of Elk City United Methodist Church, the Faith Sunday School Class, and United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Elk City Cultus Club. The family requested that memorials be made at National Jewish Health 1400 Jackson St., Denver, CO 80206, Multiple Myeloma Research 383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 or a charity of your choice. Memorial services were held on Saturday May 4, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Elk City United Methodist Church, Elk City, OK.
