Son of Arthur Lewis Davis and Mattie Adelia McLeod Davis. Married Virginia Libby around 1939. Served in the Merchant Marines as Captain aboard the ship "Malantic".

Otto and Virginia had no children. They owned and operated Marva Court Motel on Pensacola Beach for many years. Otto had suffered through a stroke around 1969.
