Suddenly completed her earthly existence at age 52 from pneumonia. Born in Bremerton, Washington. Daughter of Lawrence and Georgia Thornton. Graduate of Patricia Stevens College of Fashion and Design in British Columbia, Canada. Married Paul Jackson June 24, 1972. Julie and Paul were Utah state directors of the University of the Family for past 12 years. Conducted small group ministry, marriage retreat, marriage seminars and personnel counseling. Loved people. Spent life seeing other marriages healed and restored to the biblical blueprint. Never condemned anyone. Encouraged people to become Christ-like. Member, counselor and Sunday school teacher at Salt Lake Christian Center. Survived by husband Paul, daughters: Dawn and Telisha, son-in-law Wil, granddaughter Autumn, sister Linda and brother Dennis. Service held on December 18 at the Salt Lake Christian Center
