Garrin Paul Boersma, 13, died March 5, 2002, in Portland of Bone Marrow Failure
after a long-term illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bonanza
Community Church in Bonanza. Graveside services will be at Bonanza Memorial
Park in Bonanza. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today and 3 to 5 p.m.
Monday in Ward's Klamath Funeral Home in Klamath Falls. Garrin was born Oct.
4, 1988, in Klamath Falls, to Kenny and Jennifer (Nelson) Boersma. He a
member of the youth group at Bonanza Community Church. Among his interests
were skateboarding, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family members
and friends. He loved music and clothes. Survivors include his father and
stepmother, Kenny and Bernadette Boersma of Visalia, Calif.; mother and
stepfather, Jennifer and David Jackson of Klamath Falls; brother, Justin
Boersma of Klamath Falls; sister, RayAnn Jackson of Klamath Falls;
grandparents, Paul and Laney Boersma, Karol Nelson and Michael Mastro of
Bonanza ; great-grandmothers, Margorie Nelson of Bonanza and Lorraine
Griffin of Vermillion; uncles and aunts, Michelle Nelson of Palm Springs,
CA, Tom and Lynn Griffin of Goodland, MN, Steve and Lori Griffin of Coon
Rapids, MN, Joe and Bonnie ( Griffin) Schulke, of Mammoth, AZ and Mike and
Kathy (Griffin) Carlson of Vermillion; cousins, Rob, Eddie and Michael
Fore of Bonanza. and numerous special friends. He was preceded in death by
his grandfather, David Nelson, and great-grandfathers, Alvin Nelson and
Paul Griffin .
