Hemingway - Mable Ard Cox, 68, a professional cake decorator, died Wednesday in a Kingstree hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, directed by Morris Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox was born in Lake City, a daughter of Fairy Ard and Mae G. Ard Tanner. She was a graduate of Hemingway High School and was a former Girl Scout Leader. She was a Life Member of the First Baptist Church and was the widow of J. LaVance Cox.
Surviving are a son, Henry L. Cox of Clemson; two daughters, Patricia C. Miller and Jimmie Ann C. Eillott, both of Hemingway; a step-sister, Ella M. Proctor of Marion; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Source: unknown newspaper
