Obituary
Mrs. Hobart Paine, 71, died at 4:45 p.m. Friday in Tucson, AZ. She was a former Stevens Point resident and had been residing with her son, Hobart Paine, for the past five years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Episcopal Church of the Intercession here. The Rev. Conrad L. Kimbrough will officiate, and burial will be later in Forest Cemetery.
There will be no visitation, and the Dzikoski Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
The former Edith (Lorraine) Puariea was born Aug. 22, 1902 in Stevens Point, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Puariea. She married Hobart Paine on June 2, 1920. Her husband was an electrician, and the couple moved to Green Bay in 1943 and later to Milwaukee.
Her husband died on May 19, 1966 in Milwaukee and Mrs. Paine then lived with her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wanta, in Random Lake and moved to Tucson three years ago.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Pearle Halladay, Portage County Home; one son, Hobart, Tucson; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Bonnie) Wanta, Random Lake, and Mrs. August (Audrey) Levandowski, 43 Ridgewood Dr., Park Ridge, and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Paine was preceded in death by her father.
