Rosalee Buckmanage 95, of Shelbina, MO, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2013, at Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO.
She was born April 29, 1917, in Lakenan, MO, the daughter of George Augustine and Mary Hazel Gough Hardy. On October 15, 1945, she was united in marriage to Carl Francis Buckman. He preceded her in death on November 17, 1976.
Rosalee is survived by four children, Vickie Pettus and friend Gary Puckett of Springfield, MO, Dan Buckman and wife Robin of Shelbina, MO, Pat Buckman and wife Brenda of Shelbina, MO and Stan Buckman of Shelbina, MO; five grandchildren, Rob Pettus, Lindsey Kauffman, Clayton and Cameron Buckman, and Tyler Buckman; two step grandchildren, Shellie Bull and Margie Roland; five great grandchildren, Konner Pettus, Kendall Pettus, Kollen Pettus, Houston and Hendrix Kauffman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one infant son, Gerald Edward Buckman and five sisters, Jean Garrison, Pauline Freytag, Helen Buckman and two infants.
Rosalee was a graduate of Shelbina High School. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altar Society, 49'ers and Double I Club. She was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and enjoyed her yard, flowers, cooking, gardening, pie making, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends especially her grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shelbina, MO, with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO, on Thursday, April 11, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Salt River Community Care or Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
