Most Loved Mother and Mom-Mom. Rita M. Mutter, 92 of Folcroft, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on April 15, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at Little Flower Manor in Darby, PA. Rita was a graduate of West Catholic.
She worked for over 26 years at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital as a nursing assistant and ward clerk. Her greatest joy was spending time with her exuberant and devoted family. Serving the Lord was her delight. She was a longtime parishioner of St. George Parish in Glenolden where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of Catholic Daughters, and as a volunteer for many parish activities.
Rita was a professed member of the Third Order Franciscans - Secular and was active in the Our Lady of Fatima Charismatic prayer group. Rita was born in Philadelphia on April 14, 1921 of the late Thomas and Ethel Verrechia. She was married to the late Francis A. Mutter, Jr. She had two sisters, Evelyn (deceased) and Delores and a dear sister-in-law, Ethel Marie Janton.
She is survived by her children, Denise M. D'Alesio (Daniel), Francis A. Mutter, III (Marianne), Paul T. Mutter (Dee), Michael F. Mutter (Lisa), Nancy Rita Bastien (Bob), and James E. Mutter (Sue). She is also blessed with sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass: Friday, April 19, 2013, 10:30am, St. George Church, Lamont Ave., Glenolden, PA 19036. Franciscan Wake Service: prior to the Funeral Mass.
