Daughter of Alfred and Geraldine Guidry who preceded her in death. Survivors include twin sisters, Pamela Guidry Whitaker and Paula Guidry Landy; nephew and nieces Gerald, Dione and Ashley; great-nieces Taylor and Kayla; and goddaughters Dione, Robyn and Brittany. She also leaves a multitude of family and friends who will miss her dearly. Janice was a pioneer among African-American women in Houston's public relations community, which she entered in 1970 after graduating from Kashmere High School and the University of Houston. Subsequently, she earned her MA degree from the University of Houston and her MBA from the University of Texas Graduate School of Business. Janice spent almost all of her career in Houston, serving on the public affairs and media relations staffs at Baylor College of Medicine, the Metropolitan Transit Authority, Coca Cola Foods and the Houston Independent School District before establishing Three G Communications, Inc. in 1991. In addition, she served as an instructor at Texas A&M University, Houston Baptist College and the University of Houston. In 2002, she accepted her own calling as a vocational minister and founded Foresight Ministries, a Houston-based faith-based organization to teach turning vision into reality'. This program followed on years of Bible teaching and music ministry.
