Age 89, died Sunday, November 24, 2002 at Fostrian Manor in Flushing, Michigan. Amy, and her twin sister Edith, was born on July 28, 1919 in Stuart (located renamed Lochgelly), West Virginia, daughter of the late Leonard & Adeline (Dickens) Millington. She was a resident of Flint most of her adult life. She married Robert Grant Griffin on December 25, 1935 and he proceeded her in death in 1985. Amy worked in the Food Service Industry at the Albert Pick-Durant Hotel, Sarvis Food Service and Grand Blanc Country Club. She was an avid bowler for many years in leagues at Northwest Bowl. She attended St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and was a longtime supporter of the Red Cross Blood Bank. She was proceeded in death by her son, Gerald Grant Griffin, brother John Millington, sister Anne Walsh and niece Marcia Mellow. She was survived by her twin sister, Edith Mellow, two sons Robert Burton Griffin (wife Barbara) of Swartz Creek; Donald Maxwell Griffin (wife Sandra) of Birch Run; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and several loved nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Brown Funeral Home with burial at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
