The sad news was received here Saturday of the death of Mrs. Clara Morris Deal at her home near Newton, Ia. Mrs. Deal has been an invalid for over three years, but it was hoped she was improving, as she came to Colfax last summer to visit her sister, Mrs. William McIntosh. She leaves her husband and five children, the youngest being twins, besides her m other, who has been with her for several years, and four sisters, Mrs. Diddle, Mrs. George Warrick, of near Falrbury; Mrs. William McIntosh and Pauline Morris, of Colfax, also one brother, Edward Morris, of Peoria.

She had lived here many years and her friends will be grieved to learn of her demise.
