WOOD ST. RESIDENT STRICKEN SUNDAY

Two years of failing health occasioned by the infirmities of old age resulted in the death Sunday of Mrs. Philomena Frosssard Besanceney, 88, widow, of Constant Besanceney, which occurred at 12:30 p.m., at her residence, 329 Wood St..
Born in Shelby county April 7, 1855, she was the daughter of John and Catherine Frossard. Seventy-one years ago, on her birthday, she was married in St. Marys church. Piqua, her husband preceding her in death June 22, 1917 Twenty years of her married life was spent in Shelby county. the family establishing themselves in Piqua in 1892. She was a valued member of St. Marys church and of the Altar Society.• A devoted mother, she was always happiest when surrounded by her family and friends, and planning something that would contribute to the pleasure of others.
She leaves 6 children, Edward of Dayton, Henry V. and the Misses Mary and Minnie Besanceney of Piqua, Alfred of Cincinnati and Louis of Freemont; 24 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Three sons. Joseph, Constant and Leo, preceded her in death, as did a sister, Sister Mary Eulinia of The 0rder of the Precious Blood.
The Rev. Robert Von Kaennel will read the requiem mass Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Marys church. with burial in Forest Hill cemetery.
The body has been taken to the home of. her son, Henry V. Besanceney 910 West Ash street where friends may call from this evening until time for the funeral.
