She was born May 16, 1914, in Morrisville, the daughter of Ernest and Zella (Crowell) Cross.
She attended schools in Morrisville.
Mrs. Preston attended Calvary Baptist Church in Springfield.
Survivors include a sister, Jeannette Howe of Chester; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Preston; and a sister, Vivian Lucius.
The graveside burial will take place at a later date in Pleasant View Cemetery in Morrisville.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel.
