They were sons of Alice Highgate of 103 Brookdale Rd., Catford, London.Their father, John passed away 1920,in the Sevenoaks, Union Work house, Sundridge Near Sevenoaks, Kent

He is commemorated, along with his two brothers who also fell, on the Sidcup War Memorial.
