Born April 10, 1952, to Herman and Thelma Zeger of Fort Loudon, Pa., she was a 1971 graduate of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg. Janet graduated from the Franklin County Vocational-Technical School as a licensed practical nurse in 1972 and received an associate's degree in business management from Wilson College, Chambersburg, Pa., in 1994.
Mrs. Lawson was married to Henry Edgar Lawson on June 23, 1982. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Chambersburg. She spent the last decade of her life in the jewelry business for Littman Jewelers, Zales Jewelers, and Friedman's Jewelers in Chambersburg, Pa., Hagerstown, Md., and Frederick, Md.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by a son, Anthony J. Lawson at home; a stepson, Darryle K. Lawson of Chambersburg; a stepdaughter, Angela D. Klatt of East Bend, N.C.; a sister, Katena Fries of Marion; and two brothers, Randy Zeger of Fort Loudon and William Zeger of Mercersburg.
Interment in Stenger Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon until the return of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, who has promised "Surely, I come quickly."
