She was born in Buffalo Hart, the daughter of John and Ida Doom Hunt and had resided in Springfield most of her life.
Her husband, James Smith, preceded her in death on May 20, 1956.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Virginia Downey, of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Marcella Timoney and Mrs. Sarah Fisher, both of Springfield.
Services were Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul's Church.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
