passed away on November 2, 2011 at the age of 90. She was born in Indianapolis to the late Roy and Bertha (Brand) Shepherd. Margaret worked for many years at US Envelope as an inspector. She married George E. Stewart,Sr. and he preceded her in death in September of 1969. She was a long time member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Beech Grove.
Margaret is survived by her three sons; Michael (wife Janice), William and Robert "Pat" Stewart, three daughters; Kathleen (husband"Red") Walterman, Paula (husband Marvin) Jones, and Therese Stewart. She is also survived by 18 grand children, 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Margaret was a very devoted mother and loved her family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her son George E. Stewart, Jr. in 1960.
Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 in Little and Sons Funeral Home, Stop 11 Chapel from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Sat. Nov. 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Handi-Capable Hands, 3215 E.
