The funeral service for Mrs. Myrtice Garrison Collins, who died Sunday March 27, 1994 at Tifton Nursing Home, was held Tuesday, March 29, 1994 at Frank Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County. She was 82.
Elder Gerald Proctor officiated at the 2 p.m. service with interment in the church cemetery.
The deceased was born February 28, 1912 in Fitzgerald to Charlie Warren and Viola Lee Williams Garrison. A retired registered nurse, she was a member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church and the widow of Claude Franklin Collins. She had lived in Ben Hill and Irwin Counties all her life and was a 1932
Graduate of Macon General Hospital School of Nursing, She served as head nurse at Ben Hill and Irwin County Hospitals. She was a member of the Georgia Nurses Association.
She is survived by two brothers; W. D. Garrison, Ray City, Ga. And Charles W. Garrison of Fitzgerald; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Garrison.
