Mrs. Harrell was born August 21, 1920 in Ruston, LA to Grady McCallum and Renie Burgess McCallum. She died February 10, 2013 also in Ruston, LA.
Mrs. Harrell graduated from Louisiana Tech with a Home Economics degree. After a short period of time as a teacher she married and became a homemaker raising 4 children. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and working crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Sterling Harrell; two grandchildren: Sterling V. Harrell, IV and Jennifer Luttrell; two sisters: Blanche Small and Margaret Barron and one brother: J.D. McCallum.
Mrs. Harrell is survived by her children: Sterling V. Harrell, III of Ruston, LA; Steve Harrell of Ruston, LA; Janis and husband Jim Sumlin of Richardson, TX; and Lisa and husband Larry Whittington of Ruston, LA; five grandchildren: Stacy Kinser, Joanna Luttrell, Vernon Jones, Jordan Whittington and Ansley Stewart; two great grandchildren: Rhianna Herlihy and Kyper Stewart as well as her nieces and nephews.
