Mrs. Mary L. Chatfield Markham, 67, of 1368 White, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday at her home. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at the Strueber Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary.

She was born at Lore, Ia., daughter of Fred and Frances Riddle Chatfield, and had lived in Dubuque since 1915. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ernest [Evelyn] Weber, Mrs. Floyd [Melita] Smith, Dubuque; one son, J. Herschel Markham, Dubuque, 11 grandchildren; one brother, Roland Chatfield, Farley, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Daly, Farley; Mrs. Roy Bradfield, Durango, Iowa and Mrs. Earl Everett, Dubuque. The Rosary will be recited at 8:00 Friday.
