On June 15, 2008, Eric Christopher Branch, went to be with the Lord. He was born February 29, 1984 to George Branch, Jr. and the late Jonquil Hinton Branch Hawkins. Eric‘s warm personality and charming smile endeared him to many. He graduated from The Ivy Mount School in Rockville, MD and worked at Howard University‘s Blackburn Center. Eric possessed the heart of a champion, and was a 3-time basketball Special Olympics gold medalist. Though we will miss him, we imagine the joyous reunion of Eric with his beloved mother, Joni. He leaves behind step-father, John Hawkins, Jr.; grandparents, former MLB baseball player, Chuck and Irma Hinton; other loving relatives and many friends. Services are being held this morning at Integrity Church, 7600 Landover Rd, Landover, MD. Viewing 10 a.m.; funeral, 11 a.m.
