Chris retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in 2000 with 27 years of service as a communications technician in Corpus Christi and San Antonio.

Chris was a member of the South Texas Trail Riders Inc. and served as Secretary for over ten years. She was honored in 1990 to be chosen as Sweetheart of the trail ride. She also served on the advisory board and as a Director Emeritus and Life Member at the time of her passing. She received the Frank Hoch Memorial Award for outstanding service in 2004.
Chris was a Life Member of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. since 1996 where she served on the Horse Show Committee.

Chris moved to the Springtown area in 2008 and joined Agnes Baptist Church in 2009. Chris loved her church family. She stayed involved by participating in the Senior Adults Learning Together(SALT) ministry and organized the door greeter ministry.

Chris was preceded in death by her father, John Thomas Hanson and her mother, Chloe Goff Pesek.

Survivors: Husband, Richard J. Clark III; sons, Jerry W. Honeycutt Jr., Marvin L. Honeycutt (Sandy); daughter, Valarie L. Buhidar (Edward); step-sons, R. John Clark IV (Teal), Thomas R. Clark (Charity); step-daughter, Rebecca Joyce Terry; sisters, Lenora Louise Whitson (Steve) and Bobbie Lois McMillan (Lee); 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends also survive Chris.
