Mrs. Martha E. (Levick) Frenzel, 87, of South Potomac Street, Waynesboro, PA, and formerly of 300 Walnut Street, Waynesboro, died at 7:40 A.M., Tuesday, March 8, 2005 in Quincy United Methodist Home, Quincy, PA.

Born December 23, 1917 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Viola (Galbraith) Levick. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.

Mrs. Frenzel was a graduate of Washington Township High School with the Class of 1936.

She and her husband, the late Mr. John Frenzel, Jr., were married July 3, 1947. He died May 17, 1966. She entered Hearthstone Retirement Home, Waynesboro, in September 2001.

Mrs. Frenzel was first employed at Frick Company, Waynesboro, from 1937-1947. She later worked at Teledyne Landis Machine Company, Waynesboro, from 1966 until her retirement in 1983.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She also was a member of Wayne Heights Homemakers, Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary, served as Den Mother with Cub Scouts, was a member of the former North Chapter AARP #739, and the National AARP.

Mrs. Frenzel served as a volunteer for the Visitor Center in Chambersburg, PA, and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels of Waynesboro.

She is survived by one son, John D. "Skip" Frenzel of Campbell, CA; one sister, Shirley A. Paterchak of Dayton, OH; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty J. Shepherd; and seven brothers, Richard A. Levick, Austin L. "Bill" Levick, Thomas W. Levick, Wallace Levick, Delbert Levick, Harold Levick, and Allen Levick.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 13, 2005 at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro, with the Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
