Michael Amato Kapp, 23
WELLSVILLE - Michael Amato Kapp, 23, of Wellsville, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at East Liverpool City Hospital.
He was born April 1, 1989, in East Liverpool, the son of Sean Kapp of Robinson, Ill. and Gina (Amato) Kapp of Wellsville.
Michael graduated from Wellsville High School in 2007 and attended the East Liverpool campus of Kent State University. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Michael was an avid fan of the University of Michigan and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Survivors include one brother: Christian Kapp of Wellsville; maternal grandparents: Chuck and Irma Amato of Wellsville; paternal grandmother: Betty Kapp of East Liverpool; one aunt: Cindy (Joe) Scarabino of Wellsville; and three uncles: Nick (Ann) Amato of East Liverpool, Chris Amato of Wellsville, and Ryan Kapp of Cape Coral, Fla. Also surviving are three great-aunts: Dolly (Tom) Brophey of Wellsville, Theresa (Earl) Betz of Wellsville, and Lydia Johnson of Toronto; one great- uncle: Larry Stiteler of East Liverpool; five cousins: Nicholas and Noelle Amato of East Liverpool, Angelica Scarabino of Wellsville, and Maia and Alanna Amato of Wellsville; and his faithful, beloved dog: Gotti.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Attorney J. Michael Kapp.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. Peter Haladej officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3:00-5:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
