Claten Heulin Clark, 54, of Matthews Community, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Matthews Cemetery in Jones County. Rev. Blaine Graham will officiate.
He retired from City Salvage due to failing health. Claten never met a stranger and was loved by everyone he came in contact with. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claten Sennett Clark; grandparents, Hulon and Mandy Mathews and Mamie Clark.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Clark, sisters, Ellen Clark and Angelia Clark; brothers, Charles (Sylvia) Clark and Carlos (Beverly) Clark and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jeff LePori, Ronnie Clark, Daniel Clark, Michael Hill, Ross Tew, Dr. Harlan Mathews, Marcus Garec, Wayne Tew, Ryan Valentine, and Eddie Bullock.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Memory Chapel of Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
