Dennis Isom Adkins, 83, of 21 Cedar Point Road, died Sunday, Feb.
22, 1998.
A native of Greenup County, Ky., Mr. Adkins was a son of the late
William Addie and Melissa A. Adkins. A Navy veteran of World War II,
he was a farmer and employed 16 years in the aircraft industry with
Rohr Corporation. He was a member of Life Line Church in Bowersville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Life Line Church
with the Revs. Kenneth Adkins, W.G. Lemonds and Louis Shaver
officiating. Burial will be in Bowers Memorial Park, Canon. The body
will be placed in the church at 9 a.m.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Drew Adkins; a daughter, Sally
Jo Adkins, Lavonia; two sisters, Sylvia Bostic, Orange, Ind., and
Jewell Ellison, Jasper, Tenn.; and a brother, the Rev. Kenneth Adkins,
Canon.
The family is at the residence and will receive friends 7-9 p.m.
