Wayne Vanderpool, age 69, passed away Friday December 28, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Murfreesboro. Mr. Vanderpool was affiliated with the Smithville Church of God and a U.S. Marine Veteran. He was a retired school teacher, auto mechanic and constable for the 3rd district of DeKalb County. Mr. Vanderpool was preceded in death by his Parents, Algie Lee and Dora Kay Vanderpool; Infant Brother, James David Vanderpool. He is survived by his Wife of 46 years, Brenda Puckett Vanderpool of Smithville; Children, Wayne Reed Vanderpool (Julia Cantrell) and Melissa and her husband Philip Wallace all of Smithville; Grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth, Harper Lee and William Alton Wallace; Sisters, Wanda and her husband Ray, Jr. Dunham of Smithville, Lorraine Webb of Donelson; Brother, Rodney and his wife Phyllis Vanderpool of Centertown; Brother-in-law, Darwin and his wife Delores Puckett of Lebanon. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday December 30, 2012 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel at 3:PM with Bro. Bill Robertson and Bro. Jeff Armstrong officiating with burial in Whorton Springs Cemetery.
