Ann M. Christy, 88, of Rantoul passed away Tuesday (Feb. 26, 2013) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

She was born Aug. 13, 1924 in Chicago, a daughter of James and Mary Killgallen Loftus. She married Steve Christy on Jan. 1, 1946 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Monica (Howard) Demars; a son, Jim (Toni) Christy; a sister, Theresa (Lou) DeFranco; four grandchildren, Tom and Mike Christy and Hunter and Juliet Demars and two great-granddaughters, Ava and Lauren Christy.
