Allsup - Died, at 6:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, January 29, 1908, at the family residence in Riverton, of complications, Temple R. Allsup, aged 58 years, 1 month and 13 days.
Mr. Allsup was born in eastern Tennessee, but had been a resident of Riverton the last twenty-seven years. [note: another obituary states 37 years.]
He was a member of tribe lodge No. 117 of the Red Men of this city and Assembly No. 83, Loyal Americans of the Republic.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Alonzo, Robert, and Bert Allsup, and two daughters, Gertrude Farley and Miss Nannie Allsup, all of Riverton; one sisters, Mrs. Cora DeFrates [sic], of this city; four brothers, S.F. Allsup, of Decatur; W.G. Allsup, of Peoria; J.B. Allsup, of Knoxville, Tenn.; and J.H. Allsup, of Trustville, Ala.
The funeral was held at the M.E. church in Riverton.
Interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery.
