FLORA - Services for Ron Dobyne, 50, 909 Camaro Court, will be held at noon, Saturday in Provewell Baptist Church, Sprott, Ala.

He died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, in his residence.

Born July 28, 1952, in Sprott, Ala, he was the son of Isiah Sr. and Jeaneen Coleman Dobyne. He was married on June 29, 1975, in Selma, Ala., to Barbara Ann Richardson, who survives.

Mr. Dobyne was employed in management in meat processing for 30 years. He also was a case manager for Four County Mental Health, Logansport, and was most recently a contract supervisor at General Motors Metal Stamping Plant, Indianapolis.

He was a member of Flora United Methodist Church. He was baptized as a child in the Provewell Baptist Church, Provewell, Ala.

He was a member of PM Jordan Masonic Lodge #29. He was Prince Hall grand officer, excellent high priest of Garfield Chapter #5/Royal Arch., later appointed right excellent administrative assistant to the most excellent. He was a member of St. Andrews Grand Chapter, and of Marion Consistory #60. He sat on the council as principal conductor of the works of Higgins and Reed, Chapter #32 Royal and
Select.

Also surviving are two daughters, Taneesha Renee Dobyne, Smyrna, Ga.. and Rhonda Patrice Dobyne, Indianapolis; one brother-in-law, Willie Brown, Peru; one sister-in-law, Patricia Bennett, Lancaster, Calif.; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Brown, Birmingham, Ala.; his grandmother, Alma Coleman; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Walter and Barbara Dobyne, Atlanta, Ga., Jerome and Karen Dobyne, Prattville, Ala., Freddie and Cynthia Dobyne, Deetsville, Ala.; and Isiah Dobyne Jr., Newman, Ga.; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Pollye Ann and Rueben Cooper, Newman, Ga., Frances and Willie Marshall Ford, Marion, Ala.; Yolanda Dobyne, Marion, Ala., and MacArthur Dobyne, Peru; and several other family members and friends.

His parents and one brother, James Anthony Dobyne, preceded in death.

The Rev. John O. Cosby will officiate at the services. The Rev. Woody Melton will give the eulogy. Burial will be in Provewell Cemetery, Sprott, Ala.

Services in Flora will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Flora United Methodist Church, where a Masonic service will be held at 6 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today.

Reinke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
