Betty Lou Berrong passed away at the age of 88 on January 6, 2013. Betty was born in Zion, IL on March 1, 1924, with the assistance of midwife, Miss Lloyd. In 1943 Betty married Earl Willis Berrong, who preceded her in death in 2008. They were married for 65 years and together they raised five children on the family farm in Winthrop Harbor. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Earl, her parents Henry and June Hall, her sister Evelyn, brothers Robert Hall and Chauncey (Shirley ) Hall, and one daughter, Nancy Sue who died at birth.
