Oda Lee was born Janury 20, 1928, in Red Lake, New Mexico, daughter of Odus Rogers and Frances Johnson. She grew up in Portales. She married Monty Carlo in 1945 in Portales. They had two children, Jimmy and Janet. Monty passed away in 1979. In 1984 she married Jimmy R. Janes. He passed away in 2010.
Oda Lee spent her life caring for others. She loved working in her yard and tending to animals. She was an x-ray technician and worked in several area hospitals for over 40 years. She also owned a clothing store in Carlsbad called De Lee's Fashions.
