First military services for a Texas county serviceman killed in action in World War II overseas were held for Pvt. Claude E. Crabtree in the Texhoma cemetery, today with Rock McAdams post, American Legion, of Texhoma in charge.
Remains of Pvt. Crabtree, who died in Belgium Jan. 13, 1945, arrived in Texhoma Tuesday evening. Funeral rites had previously been scheduled for Wednesday, but were postponed due to weather conditions. The serviceman is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peak Crabtree, and one brother, Bob, all of Texhoma.
