Carolyn Ann (Morgan) Armstrong, 75, of Jacksonville, died Feb. 8, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 16 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Survivors include husband, Gerald; daughters, Julie Gamble of Camden, Ark., Suzanne Bobola of Moyock, and Linda Syfrett of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and brother, James Morgan, of Prescott, Ariz.

She was a member of MCAS (H) New River Chapel and sang in the choir. She volunteered for years as a Brownie Girl Scout Trainer, Hospice in Onslow County, Soup Kitchen of Onslow County and Onslow County CAC. She loved being a member of her Red Hats Chapter.

The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Hospice, International Essential Tremor Foundation or Onslow County Soup Kitchen.
