DAVENPORT - Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Harold T. Fuhs, Davenport, will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Mr. Fuhs died Friday Aug. 23, 2002, at Manor Care Health Center in Davenport. Harold Thomas Fuhs was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Chariton, Iowa, the son of Hubert & Margaret (Ihms) Fuhs. He married Carole Powers on Aug. 6, 1955, at St. Alphonsus Church, Davenport. She preceded him in death Nov. 2, 2001. He worked as a service technician for Sears & Roebuck for 30 years, retiring in 1992. His memberships include St. Anthony's Church and the Knights of Columbus 532, Davenport. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and euchre. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Iowa Hawkeyes. He served in the Army in Japan, as part of the occupation force. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Care and Share. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Dennis Kuhl, Plainfield, Ill.; a son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Patti Fuhs, Chattanooga, Tenn.; grandchildren, Riley Kuhl Killion, Kristin Powers Fuhs and James Patrick Fuhs; sisters, Rita Strike, DesMoines and Mary Davison, DeKalb, Ill; brothers and sisters in-law, Tom and Shirley Fuhs, Webster City, Bill and Kathy Fuhs, Atlanta, Robert and Eva Fuhs, Bettendorf and Charles and Barbara Fuhs, Omaha, Neb. In addition to his wife Carole, he was preceded in death by a brother. Herbert Fuhs. May they rest in peace.
