Structural Engineer. Born in New York City, New York, he was the project engineer and construction Superintendent of the Empire State Building. At the time of its completion in 1931, the Empire State Building was the tallest man made standing structure in the world and still remains one of the greatest tourism attractions ever. His grave in the Aurora Cemetery Ontario, Canada, is marked by a miniature Empire State building.
