Wife of Wilmot Johnson of Baltimore, Maryland who died in October of 1899.

From FAG contributor Leighj;

Margaret Schuyler Van Rensselaer, married (1st) at Albany, April 12, 1837, John DePeyster Douw (born in Albany, Dec. 16, 1812: died in Poughkeepsie, Jan. 30, 1901), had: Henry Augustus Douw, 1840 - 1854 and Harriet Van Rensselaer Douw 1842 - 1862. Divorced; married (2d) Philadelphia, April 24, 1851, Wilmot Johnson, of Catonsville, Maryland, who died in New York City, September 9, 1899. John DePeyster Douw married (2d) Marianne Chandler Lanman, March 16, 1854.

I hope you will add Margaret’s obituary as it mentions her children.

Margaret Schuyler Van Rensselaer, wife of Wilmot Johnson, and the eldest child of the late Gen. Stephen Van Rensselaer, died this afternoon at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Bayard Van Rensselaer, on Columbia Street. Her home was at Catonsville, Md., near Baltimore, and impaired health necessitated her removal to Narragansett early in the summer. No improvement was shown although the best of care was given and it was necessary to come to Albany which she did on Tuesday and heart failure was the cause of her death. Mrs. Johnson was born in 1819 and had two children, a son and a daughter, and both are now dead. It was her custom for thirty-five years to visit her sister-in-law on August 31st in order to place flowers upon the grave of her daughter upon the anniversary of her death and it was in the same room where she had so many times been a welcome visitor that she died. The funeral will take place on Saturday at noon at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be at the Van Rensselaer plot in the Rural Cemetery.
