Dwight loved to fish. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter. He enjoyed riding horses and going on trail rides. He really enjoyed talking about Alabama history and World War II. He worked in the Texas oil fields, logged in Alabama and Louisiana. He was employed with the county at the Two Way Shop. He was a gifted storyteller. He had a contagious laugh. He passed away suddenly at his home. He is greatly missed.

Survived by:
Mother--Vona Alma Green Williams;
6 Sisters--Jeronia Harriger, Vivian Norman, Peggy Skelton, Joy Whitten, Jane Garrett, and Vickey Ford;
4 Brothers--Hubert Edsel, James Roy,
John 'Bo', and Timothy 'Tim' Williams.

He was preceded in death by:
Father-- Hubert Williams;
1 Brother--Ottis Hugh Williams..

The photo of Dwight was taken the day after massive outbreak of tornados on April 27, 2011. This photo was taken on the steps on what was left of his home after his home was blown away on that fateful day. This is also the homeplace of his great grandparents Plummer and Rebecca "Becky" Jane Palmer Williams. Plummer and Becky Jane's home was also blown away by a tornado on April 20, 1920. It is amazing coincidence that two tornados hit the same spot. It lacked one week to the day-making it 91 years later when both homes were struck by tornados.
