Virginia A. Ratcliff Price, 86 of Junction City, LA, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

Born October 25, 1929 in Chatham, LA, she was the daughter of John William and Lizzie Mae James Ratcliff. Virginia retired after 21 years of service as an executive secretary for the Junction City School District. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Junction City.

Virginia enjoyed and cherished her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was the classiest of ladies, the fashionista of the family, the best "fisherwoman" around and the best grandmomma you could ask for.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband, James Ray "Bud" Price, brothers, John Wilmer Ratcliff and Alvin Lavon Ratcliff and sisters, Zona Owens, Zelma Herring and Mable White.

Survivors include two daughters, Ann Culpepper and husband, Kenny of Memphis, TN and Debra Goodwin and husband, James "Tootlum" of El Dorado and a son, James R. "Jimmy" Price of Junction City and a brother, James Ratcliff and wife Betty of Texas City, TX. Surviving grandchildren are Scott Culpepper and wife Ginger; Amanda Willig and husband James; Jake Goodwin and wife Brittni; Jill Sanders and husband Jim; Deano Dawson and wife Susie, along with great-grandchildren, Micah Culpepper, Josiah Culpepper, Hannah Culpepper, Carmen Ann Willig, Phoenix Goodwin, Holden Goodwin, Aiden Sanders, Tyler Sanders, Luke Sanders and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Junction City with Rev. Milton Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors
.
The family will receive friends for visitation at First Baptist Church in Junction City from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening.

A special thank you is extended by Virginia's family to Dr. George Smith for his many years of healthcare service and to the caregivers at the John R. Williamson Hospice House for their kindness and caring service.
